What should have happened:
There should be a way to keep your mail private; perhaps a flag to
zmailnotify to tell it not to create the lock file, and people who
run it multiple times will have to put up with repeat messages.
There is. Put a symlink from ~/.maillock to
~/fascist-directory/.maillock, and zmailnotify will create the file in
your protected directory, rather than putting it in ~.
There's no bug here.
