What were you trying to do? look at the contents of some of my mail
folders (~/Mail/cacdist, ~/Mail/copies), which I used without incident
this afternoon from my pvax (mystery.mit.edu), from home over dialup.
What's wrong:
every folder except inbox gives me a "bad message list" error (true of
"folder" and "scan"; then I gave up
What should have happened:
I should have gotten ordinary messages about the number of messages or
the list of messages
