It appears that our NFS servers get enough load that rpc.mountd is incapable
of sending a response to a "showmount -a" request. When this happens, mountd
calls "abort()" (which dumps core and exits). This is the wrong response: it
should send a response if possible, and continue processing if not. I'm not
sure if the abort() calls in the "mnt" function in rpc.mountd.c can be safely
removed, or more changes are needed.
