System type, version: (RT/PC) Version 6.3B
System name: garfield
What's wrong:
When the machine is idle, emacs sometimes uses up a lot of computing
cycles and the load climbes to 1.5. This is when running 4 xterms, an
xclock, an xload and an xscreensaver but the machine has been idle (no
keyboard input for 15-20 minutes).
After being logged in for only 40 mins, the line in 'top' for emacs is :
375 ilham 1 0 1328K 644K sleep 3:58 14.51% 14.48% emacs -w
This happens more frequently nowadays.
What should have happened:
Emacs should not eat up compute cycles unnecessarily.
