A brief synopsis of the problem:
It seems that files with group read permission with group mit are not
readable by other members of group mit.

Repeat by (please enter a set of commands which will allow us to
repeat the bug): chmod 660 filename chmod 711 . by one users
cat /mit/username/filename by another user
