i am still getting these:

the current circumstance was that i was closing
a *lot* of nol windowgrams (left workstation
on all night) in short order. i seemed to get
ahead of the process a bit - i.e. i was clicking
windows that had only painted their outline, not
their contents. then everything paused. then
all the windowgrams went away, as above...
