That's odd, and I can't reproduce it. I did File -> Open in Writer, it
defaulted to the user's home dir, and I imported a .jpg image just fine.
Are you sure the users don't have their Open Office preferences altered in
some way, or have altered $HOME environment variables?
I did this on a test account that didn't have any previous Open Office
preferences set, by the way.
I'd suggest you ask OLC for help with this, if you can't easily figure
it out.
If users having the problem are doing something other than what I did
and if it's reproducible, please tell me exactly what they're doing in detail.
