What were you trying to do?
Use the linux console of a freshly-installed
	Athena Linux workstation.

What's wrong:
Bold and text, and possibly reverse video text, does not
display properly. Instead of showing English letters, it
shows as Cyrillic letters. This garbles tcsh prompts that
use bolding, and also garbles the name of the buffer in
	emacs's status line.

I've seen this on one or two machines in the clusters, and
have not had time to investigate. Now I see it happening on
this freshly-installed machine, and I still don't have time
	to investigate.

What should have happened:
Bold text should display as bold English letters, not as
	un-bold Cyrillic letters.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
I've tried to transcribe the text I saw on the screen, and I
put a sample of it at
	  http://mit/jmorzins/Public/milq-console.html (web)
	  /mit/jmorzins/Public/milq-console.txt (view with gedit)
