Hi.
The problem seems to be caused by some sort of bug in console font
initialization using the default font (latarcyrheb-sun16) with our
non-standard virtual console configuration. We will work around
the problem by setting a Latin-0 font (lat0-sun16) as the console
font in an upcoming patch release.
