Hi Greg,

Some more information I failed to include in the initial report.  I
first tried to move the ~/.gconf and ~/.gnome2 directories out of the
way, logged out, logged back in, and told gnome not to reuse gnome1
settings.  After that failed to fix the problem, I moved the
~/evolution directory out of the way, also without fixing the problem.

I considered moving some or all of the email out of the way,
but did not know how to easily do so without losing any mail.
I also am not sure that moving the configuration directories out
of the way while still logged in is a reasonable reset of the
configuration settings.
