Hi. I've read the bug report Darrin composed on your behalf.
Based on the information I have so far, it sounds like something in your
Evolution configuration is triggering a bug in the Summary display
code. I'd like to collect some more information, and then can help you
get back to being able to read mail the normal way. Please run the
following command:
gconftool-2 -R /apps/evolution | mail ghudson@mit.edu
This will list your Evolution configuration (you can run it yourself
without the "| mail ghudson@mit.edu" part to make sure there's nothing
terribly private in there) and send it to me.
