Interestingly, Richard was unable to resolve www.google.com on a 9.1
sun (starbase.mit.edu). It's not remotely a vanilla machine, but it
is still running 9.1 which is ineresting. It also happens to have a
named that listens on all interfaces, rather than just localhost.
(Feel free to poke at it, but it's gone back to being able to resolve
google on its own.) Maybe this will elliminate some possible culprits.
