mozilla exits quietly on some cluster 9.2 machines

Running local mozilla on two seemingly identical Linux 9.2.15
machines (m66-080-3 and m66-080-4) works fine on -3 but exits
immediately without output on -4. (Also fails on -5 and -6,
which are 9.2 Suns.)
straces are at /mit/glasser/Public/good-trace (includes me
selecting Quit) and /mit/glasser/Public/bad-trace.
Moving .mozilla doesn't change it. Running sans customizations
doesn't change it. Trying the user sipb0 gives the same results.
rpm -V athena-mozilla gives no output.
(see also zlogs of -c help -i mozilla, though I think I mentioned
everything relevant)
