hmm. when I added the message and tested it, I'm pretty sure I ran
'netscape &' because that's the way I always launch it. I can't think of a
reason WHY the send-message stuff would have problems running in the
background. Also, an error about a lockfile seems suspect (as if
indicating the presence of some other problem). But I will take a look.
