Subject: Question submitted from web form

I'm having a problem using the Athena workstations to access Freshman
information.

We have a system on websis (student.mit.edu) that tries to forward a
request to another server(sisprodweb.mit.edu) to view information
about the incoming freshman.

However I get a server not found error.

I'm using Netscape 4.78 on Solaris and have heard of the problem
occuring on the Linux workstations as well.

Notes about the issue. I can get to the server by typing the correct
url in to the location box on Netscape and the server comes up fine.

Now once I have done this, I can use the back button and retry my
request on the original page that had failed. When I do this the
server is found and there are no problems. But when I close Netscape
and try again the server cannot be found.

Have you ever heard of this problem and is there anything I can do
about getting this resolved. The student will be here next week and
will be attempting to access their information.
