I'd very much like to test this configuration and see if it retains
geometry and the other state currently lost.  I think there's value to
not losing customer state.  Since the attempt to come up with the inbox
fails a goodly portion of the time, it seems an easy thing to stop
trying to do, since it seems to have other negative consequences.
