I've gone over a bunch of the details with dcarr via zephyr; between
that, our initial experiences, and Redhat bug reports, it looks like
either i810_audio stopped working on the IBMs with recent linux kernels,
and/or it's an intermittent problem. The worst-case fix may involve
including some alsa sound modules with athena-ws, although there are some
hints that bashing the right bits in the hardware will make it Just Start
Working.
(More as soon as I go find an Intellistation.)
