Thanks for reporting this. It seems like more of a bug for krb5-bugs than
this list if anything since it's considered third party software by Athena
and isn't in the krb5 gnats bug-tracking system here (I believe bug reports
for krb5 are generated with the send-pr command).
Switching hats from Athena developer to krb5 developer, I'm working on fixing
the option parsing for ftpd now and will try to get the fix committed to the
krb5 tree soon. I'm not sure if Athena will want the patch since it's not a
major krb5 change, but one might make the argument that it's security related
because it can screw up file permissions.
I'll either offer the patch to Athena when it's done or file the bug in the
krb5 gnats database if for some reason I fail to fix it soon.
