Garry has pointed out to me that pdflatex is probably a reasonable
replacement for distill and BaKoMa (and it does look like pdflatex comes
with its own postscript fonts), so that also downgrades this from
something-thwarting-many-users to something-thwarting-Laura. And with
the newtex dvips working with ps fonts, I'm not even very thwarted.
