This is a known problem with the i386_linux3 install; the people
responsible for it are aware and will probably resolve it soon.
(linux-help[8871] has the details if you want them.)  I don't think
there are any side-effects of the plugin's failure to load other than
that you won't be able to view embedded PDF files.

Netscape does like to crash a lot, doesn't it? :-)
