I respond to mailto: links about five or six times a day using Netscape
4.61 and they work fine.
Go to Preferences|Mail and News
- Under Identity, make sure the Email address field is set to
watko@mit.edu
- Under Mail Servers, the Outgoing server should be set to
outgoing.mit.edu
(Note that outgoing.mit.edu will not deliver any mail that does not have
a mit.edu address.)
Those should be the only two settings you vitally need to SEND mail. If
you want to GET MIT mail via Netscape, the settings are a bit trickier,
since some of them have been concealed in 4.61. Write me privately if you
want to do that, or if the two settings above don't seem to do the trick.
