What were you trying to do?
add Sloan half-registered users with addusr
What's wrong:
It checks with moira to see if that username exists, but it
doesn't check for a kerberos principal (as registering via a
workstation or on the web would, when you choose a username)
What should have happened:
It should also check for a kerberos principal when assigning a
username and fail to assign a taken principal.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
This mostly happens because the Kerberos purge doesn't happen
at the same time as the deleted accounts purge, and it will
mostly only happen for Sloan (since they're the only
bulk half-registering people). This is work-aroundable by
force changing the old password, because it's only going to
happen for people whose moira entries are over a year
deactivated.
