A user encountered w20-575-109 with a severely abbreviated
/etc/group file missing group daemon, and was thus unable to
send mail. She was using pine.
It appears this problem has not been documented to bugs,
but was at least discussed in omail, and possibly other places:
omail [31516]: can't send mail with xmh (lost /etc/group)
omail [31518]: xmh cloberring /etc/group?
omail [31535]: xmh/exmh erasing /etc/group
I'm not quite up to providing a more detailed bug report
and didn't really get much detailed information since I thought
the problem was more-known.
