I'm CC'ing this to bugs as it appears to be an issue for the release.
Sounds like the resolution needs to be reset with either ffbconfig or
afbconfig.
Which one depends on which kind of graphics card he has, which can be
determined with prtconf -F (the result should contain either afb or
ffb in it somewhere).
It needs to be run as root. 'ffbconfig -prconf' will show the info
and 'ffbconfig -res <resolution>' appear to be the relevant commands
(similarly for afbconfig). The resolution should be chosen from the
list given by the first command.
Hopefully that's all that's needed (I haven't tested it).
