Hoffmann" <hoffmann@MIT.EDU>, bugs@MIT.EDU In-Reply-To: "[16982] in Athena Bugs" It turns out that there is an additional problem on Indy's -- the device file /dev/hdsp/hdsp0events does not get created after the update from IRIX 6.2, because the chkdev script run at boot time only runs the appropriate MAKEDEV command if /dev/hdsp/hdsp0control does not exist. (O2's will not have this problem, because hdsp0events existed under IRIX 6.3). So, we will need an additional fix to ensure that the device file is created after the update. Bob
