excerpt from olc session

I was running xmh when I tried to adjust the one of the vpane grips and the
program crashed. Afterwards there was no cursor to be seen on the screen !

It is not the window manager, but the X server. Did you have to reboot the
machine after the cursor vanished, or did it work normally except for an
invisible cursor?
I had to reboot.
There was an 'active' window, so I probably could have gottn away with killing
the login, but instead I tried exiting the active window to see if the
cursor would reappear. It did, but it was frozen on the root window, so
at that point I had to reboot.

I recreated the bug fairly easily. Just moving the vpane grip so that the
panes overlap impossibly, the cursor became the double up-down arrow and
stayed like that wherever it was moved on the screen. I.e. xmh had grabbed
it so there was no access to other windows. Then I clicked repeatedly on
random buttons until xmh crashed. Voila!, no more cursor on the screen.
