"vddb" will at least print a garbled field (which loosk like a null
pointer perhaps) and at most exit with a segmentation violation, when
a "list" operation is performed on a virtual disk whose "modified"
field in /site/rvd/rvddb is in January 1989.

An easy workaround: edit rvddb so that "modified" fields are not in
the range - that field is strictly informational as far as I can tell,
and can be either after or before the "created" date without being
noticed.
