Your comments about Netscape not knowing which folder to use as the
personal toolbar got me thinking, and I tried a little experiment.
First,I deleted my existing Personal Toolbar Folder as usual. (As noted in
my previous message, normally it will come back the next time I start
Netscape.) Then I created a new folder (I left it with its default name,
"New Folder") and didn't put anything in it. Highlighting the New Folder,
I selected Set As Toolbar Folder from the View menu. (The folder icon
changes from a file folder to a book.) I then closed the Edit dialog and
exited Netscape.
When I restarted, it had not regenerated the Personal Toolbar Folder, nor
had it placed any items in the New Folder. In-ter-es-ting.
So that's one solution. Of course, now I have to have an extra folder I
don't want, which is just as bad ....
