recurring Eudora problem

From time to time (like right now), I can' retrieve mail remotely. These
are the error mesages I get:
Window 1
POP server command error
ERR Kerberos authentication failure: Incorrect network address: krb_rd_req
Window2
Error reading from network
Casue: connection reset by remote side [10054]
Sometimes I get the message within hours of having already successfully
downloaded mail; sometimes while running other applications (like Word or
Excel); sometimes none of these other conditions are present.
For what it's worth, here's my hardware profile: Dell Insprion 3200,
Pentium II, Megahertz 3CCM 56K global fax modem, etc...
