This is easy to do accidentally, if you're a fast mouser and you move the mouse past threshold while holding the button down on the link. It would also explain why you don't get it every time. Ultra 10s have apparently got problems with this feature of Netscape 4.05. Aurora wrote me a few days ago about doing the same thing (also by accident) and getting all sorts of ick in the console window. She didn't hang, but judging from the weird errors she got, that was just a matter of good luck. No other variety of Sun has a problem with this that I know of. I'm looking for any other reports from people with any of the machines in the Ultra family. Drag a link around, if you have the patience to deal with possible concequences, and let me know what happens.
