We've just shifted out of using this version of named, so I'm submitting
this note just for the record, not to get any action.
Today a bizarre thing happened on my Athena 8.1.17 SGI O2 running IRIX 6.3:
hesinfo naha passwd
failed, but
hesinfo wdc passwd
was just fine.
Greg used dig to determine that the hesiod servers were returning valid
data, but that named was not providing an answer. We should remember
this if we decide to go back to SGI native named on the O2. Meanwhile
I'm not gonna worry about this, I'm gonna update the machine.
