Attach seems to wait for at least a long period of time (on the order
of 5 minutes) if not indefinatly, when it can't contact an NFS server.
Specifically, a user with "add zlog" in her .enviroment was unable to
login just now while small-gods was not responding to icmp echo
reuqests.
