We've had a lot of complaints about Sparc 4s hanging since the 8.1
update. (I think I've heard one verbal report of a Sparc 5 hanging,
but I don't think I've seen a written one, although I may have
forgotten.) Unfortunately, it's very difficult to collect information
about this problem because it happens more or less randomly and leaves
no state information behind. Presumably it's a problem with Solaris
2.5.1 or with AFS. A patch release going out in one week updates the
jumbo kernel patch for Solaris 2.5.1, which may or may not help.
