I have been using tecplot for many years and now with version 7,
I must convert my old files to the new format using the utility
cnvtec, provided by AMTEC engineering and available currently on
Athena. The only problem is that the current version on athena,
7.0c, is full of bugs. I got the new version of cnvtec from
AMTEC directly, version 7.0h and it works fine. I was on a Linux
platform.
Please make sure you update the version to 7.0h so that all Athena
users may be able to convert their files if they need to.
