Additionally, there is also an inconsistency for
some user-level binaries, such as /usr/sbin/strace.

In this case, the ufs permissions of the binaries
would not allow them to be read, but on standard athena
workstations, they are readable (and executable).

On sundial they are not.

This strikes me as somewhat bogus (ignore, for the moment,
why I would want to run strace on sundial -- perhaps I merely
wish to disassemble the binary for my disassembling (dissembling?)
pleasure...), the two ought to be consistent.

I suppose it is arguably a Solaris bug that there are
executables that are root-owned and mode 500 rather than 555
or 544.
