What were you trying to do?
Find out what kind of disks I had, with machtype -r
What's wrong:
Machtype won't actually tell me about disks other than the
internal one. The format also disagrees with the man page, and the
English of that part of the page is a bit mangled.
I think this is mostly a doc bug.
What should have happened:
I shouldn't have been deluded into thinking that machtype did
what I wanted it to.

machtype man page:
-r Print the types of any disk drives attached will be
printed, one to a line, as in "ra0: RD53".
