I am sorry I have taken so long to reply to your bug report.
(I was out for surgery and am only just catching up.)
Does EZ on the vax Always die for you when you try to spell check?
I have just tried a spell check on my Vax and it worked for me.
That means the problem you experienced was more complicated than
spell check simply not working.
If you have a file that always makes EZ die when you spell check it,
could you put it in your Public directory and email me with what the name
of it is.
Or it could be one of those random events when a program just dies.
(happens too often, but happen it does.)
