I have just previewed your file on the Color DECStation in my office.
All 3 pages previewed for me just fine.
I think you are the victim of the some-time thing of EZ having trouble
grabbing hold of another piece of itself during a session.
I agree with you that a border color out of the ordinary is symptomatic
of trouble. But not with EZ, with the underlying Athena network struggling
to find EZ and make it work for you.
Some consultants with a long memory might recall that EZ on Vaxes with
color displays (both of them) and EZ on machines that had the Parallax
Full-motion video card, suffered because the X servers on those displays
were too buggy to run EZ properly.
But anyone who tells you "EZ doesn't get along with color displays." is wrong,
and needs to get their facts strait.
Do please try and preview again from within ez. I think it will
work for you just fine.
