There is another username <juan.c> who is also having trouble receiving
mail. His question is still active in OLC. I reported a previous user
<juan.f> who was having similiar problems. Here is a response from

The immediate solution is that the user should get his login name
changed.
Register now prevents users from selecting login names which include
the `.' character. A few slipped in early in the game.
