Hi,
After talking to database services this afternoon, here is what I
believe to be the current status and some concerns:
1. Oracle on team-usa is installed at release 7.1.6, some post
processing needs to be done. Issues on space planning still
exist.
2. After the Help Desk Tuesday testing, we will make a decision on
exporting/importing the test/development database to production.
Possible timeframe is Thursday or Friday this week. Will make
decision on Wednesday.
3. Wade will send the Scopus account script to database services
for evaluation. It's possible that we may need to give
"create" privs to an existing account with less access than currently
used on the test database.
4. Still need to tar the /u1/scopus files and move them to production.
Is this o&s-facmgt responsibility or wade?
5. Need to generate a backup of the test database prior to the
export/import. I presume this has been happening, but we need to
be sure before proceeding.
6. Generate a scopus userid on the production machine. I can give
further specifics on access.
7. After creating an initial production environment (scopus running on
Solaris 2.5 with Oracle 7.1.6 and sufficient testing on this
machine), we will then install SNS. This ensures fewer variables
prior to an initial testing.
