A Few Items I Found Odd When Using the Project DB

Bill Cattey suggested I send a note to this email address with Project
DB related items. In creating my first project in the DB directly
yesterday, I bumped into a few odd behaviors...
- frequent messages regarding the unavailability of the DB
- error when attempting to create a project (problem disappeared
on second attempt)
- I was not the project leader of this project. However, simply
by being the creator of this DB entry, I was listed as the project
leader. It appears the role of project leader has been "combined"
with the updating authorization in the DB (I think). These are
different roles & functions and should be separated.
- here's my favorite - I flagged the project as 'closed' and 'formal'
yet when looking at the project summaries, the newly entered project
was not listed in the completed list or the formal open list but rather in
the informal (open?) list; this doesn't make any sense at all to me
- I could not any fields related to levels of effort; I would think
this would be a standard entry to help us (1) with resource management
issues and (2) improve our ability to accurately estimate effort levels
for future projects
On a more positive note, other than the frequent messages regarding
DB unavailability, I found the interface straightforward.
