On the RISC/6000, Hesiod is checked first, and then the local queues
(but those are handled in another way). On other platforms, where we
were able to tie into the low-level print system, it checks for a local
queue first, in case the user has chosen a printer name that is
identical to an Athena printer name.

The example says "layer" instead of "layer_athena"
You may want to bold-face the defaults or otherwise show what the
default flag settings are if you do not use certain layer_athena set
options. Or do you need to specify all the options?

You did not mention the possibility of using an alternate port number
that responds to monitoring requests so that there can be an Athena
SNMP/monitor agent as well as the vendor version.
