66-317 system falls off network

Problem: This machine has been reported (repeatedly) as falling
off the network. (While it is being used also, it will fail.)
The machine is a plain vanilla Athena workstation. There are
no file customizations or special set-ups.
The hardware is also fine.
The other workstations connected to this one seem to work
without incident and stay on the net.
Could you please have the networking checked out for this area?
