UC TRAY EMPTY - error display all the time

We are getting a constant display of the message UC TRAY EMPTY on the HP
Laserjet 4Si here at WHOI. I have tried loading more paper, switched upper
and lower trays and cycled the power without being able to turn off the display
of this message. We don't use anything but 8.5 x 11 paper so I don't think a
student here would be requesting a different size form. The printer queue was
empty this morning when I checked butthe error was still displayed. Can you
check to be sure there is not a system problem causing this error to be
displayed? Or can you arrange for a repair call on the HP Laserjet 4Si printer
"scallop", at WHOI as there is probably a broken switch or sensor that needs
to be repaired. Thanks.
