Subject: ATTENTION!!! Emergency Power Now Takes a Half Hour
ATTENTION!!!
We at the help desk have just been informed that the Emergency
Power Generator will now take a half hour to be restored. This will be
the case from now until the end of february. The reason for this severe
inconvenience is that the main Emergency Power Generator needs to be
repaired. This affects the entire main group, buildings 1 through 66, E2
and E3. For more information, please contact Neil Tomlinson at the
Electrical Department at 8-9174.
I just spoke with Neil:
1. Only if we should loose pwr from Cambridge Electric will
the pwr be out for 1/2hr.
2. The generator over at the pwr plant is being worked on and
what normally takes 10secs to kick on automatically will take
1/2hr manually.
3. Work should be done by Feb 14th.
4. I will be looking into how the alarms will be effected and
will send mail to appropriate groups.
