The following Normal 480V Bldg Power Shutdown is for bldg. 6-All labs (fume hoods) and Power Panel MDP (Chemistry project) is for bldg. 2-017E (reheat, lab waste) Shutdown on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 6:00PM til Friday, June 21, 2013 6:00AM is for your information and approval. Reason:
We request a bldg 2-217E 480V distribution panel MDP normal bldg power shutdown from 6 PM on Thursday evening, June 20th to 6 AM on Friday morning, June 21st, 2013 for Bennett Electric (John Shaw 617-293-4806) to install a 225A circuit breaker for future new rooftop air handling units and to refeed the 2-PH power panel MP4PH1 (conduit relocation) as part of the 2 Chemistry renovation project by Bond Brothers (Jesse Conklin 617-938-4175). Marty Deluga 4-5081 and Joe Collins 3-3621 are the MIT project managers.
Panel MDP feeds the 2 penthouse panel MP4PH1 which in turn feeds EF1A, 1B, 1C and 1D (bldg 6 lab fume hood exhaust fans shutdowns requested on another shutdown request for the same time frame), some roof lighting and a Schneider CX panel.
MDP also feeds 2-012 power panel MP422 which in turn feeds the heating hot water system (reheats), the bldg 2 lab waste transfer system and a local mechanical room exhaust fan.
Effect:
Loss building power,heating hot water, supply heating, laboratory, lab waste, exhaust hood for the duration of this shutdown.
