Rob, it looks like the credentials updates are working. Perhaps
someone from Systems Support already dealt with it and forgot to
tell the rest of us.
Could you check again whatever made you believe they weren't working
in the first place? If your test still fails, then there may be
something else wrong.
FYI: the "right variable" is SMSUPDATE, which is correct on a system
set up with the mkserv command (and the proper arguments), such as
Seurat. The more common problem is that when a Moira update fails
(due to network failure, or whatever), Moira won't try on the next
night unless we tell it to go ahead (that the problem has been fixed).
Since I didn't know anything about Cezanne and Seurat until now, I
haven't touched them lest I break something. I presume others in
Systems Support have stayed uninvolved for the same reason. Do we
maintain Seurat? Apparently Cezanna is non-standard, so I expect the
answer there is "no" - for practical reasons, we can't maintain odd
configurations.

I don't know the password, but as long as we're in the /.klogin file,
we shouldn't need the password unless something really goes wrong - in
which case we'll need to visit your lab anyway.
