Computer mouse not responding

Hello:
The mouse of the computer that I was using suddenly stopped
responding. The computer is an IBM RT in the Athena cluster at the
Student Center. (I guess it is W20-575-16)
I think that only the mouse is not responding, because I was able to
save the contents of the emacs window into which it was pointing, and
to close it. Unfortunately, there was not an xterm window behind the
emacs one, so I can not log out.
I dont want to turn off the computer, but when you come to fix the
problem, don't worry about my account: there's nothing that can be
lost if you reboot the computer.
