Dear Sir,
Whenever I am on athena and rlogin to a foreign rs6000, I am always
confronted with message below:
~ [31] rlogin rscheme-rsche
rscheme-rsche.MIT.EDU: Connection refused
rlogin: Kerberos rcmd failed: rcmd protocol failure.
trying normal rlogin (/usr/ucb/rlogin)

Is there a way to by pass this kerberos failure? I posed this
question to the on line consultant. One consultant suggested that I
tell the administrator of the foreign rs6000 to install "servtab" so
that kerberize rlogin would be possible. The administrator to the
foreign rs6000 rscheme-rsche would like to learn more about this. Can
you explain how a servtab works and what can be done? Refer me to
some documentation to help my administrator install the servtab.
Hopefully, this would solve the nuisance of rlogin which checks for a
nonavailable kerberos option.
Yours truly,
Kwong Hiu Yung
