Project Name: SAPweb Enhancements
Project Leader (for the IS components): Lorraine Rappaport
Report Date: October 8, 2001
Project URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/sapweb
Accomplishments Past Period:
Facilities:
- Moved fac_create to culebra, the production SAPweb server.
- Successfully tested fac_create in production
- Went LIVE!
MES:
- Suzanna Garfunkel from FSS continued her work to determine the correct
plant and company code from the cost object used on the requisition.
- Began testing of Suzanna's code in SF8
- Continued discussions with FSS, Procurement, et. al. to develop options
and recommendations for handling internal provider reqs. Internal
providers are currently treated as plants. However, in SAP, a plant can be
associated with only one company code. Until this issue is resolved,
TechReview will submit paper requisitions for the very low volume of
internal provider requisitions they create.
Goals for Next Period:
MES:
- Continue testing cost object logic to determine the correct plant and
company code from the cost object.
- Keep up-to-date on discussions and any decisions made regarding handling
of internal provider plants in SAP. Estimate impact and level of effort of
options/decisions on SAPweb code.
Issues:
- Just the internal provider issue discussed above.
